In addition to facilitating new patient referrals, our Physician Consult & Referral Service also coordinates doctor-to-doctor consultations, checks the status of referral and clinic appointments, notifies you of critical patient events (such as admissions and discharges), and provides general assistance to accessing physicians and clinic services.

Critical Care Transport
Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford’s Transfer Center and Critical Care Transport are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for neonatal, pediatric, or obstetrical patients requiring a higher level of care.
Please contact our Transfer Center to request assistance from our Critical Transport team and/or to speak directly to a physician regarding any patient you are referring. 877-464-5724.

International Referrals
Our International Medical Services (IMS) program offers special services for your patient and their families who are coming from outside the United States for care within the Stanford Children’s Health network. From appointment scheduling and interpretation services to accommodation arrangements, our IMS team is committed to making each patient's stay as comfortable and convenient as possible. To request care, please contact us by phone or complete the International Patient Form and return it via mail, e-mail or fax. We will contact you within 24 hours of receiving the completed form.
