LOCATION: The Goodman Simulation Center (H3552)
DIRECTIONS: Goodman Center Directions Link
SPEAKER: Paul Preston, MD
AFFILIATION:
Kaiser Permanente Medical Center, San Francisco
DETAILS:
Kaiser Permanente (KP) is a large, not for profit HMO with an emphasis on preventive care. Dr. Preston will explore the efforts to date to ensure quality, safety, teamwork and skills maintenance in KP. Current uses of simulation, future prospects, and efforts to link simulation to outcomes will be discussed. A major goal is to look at things that matter to one type of healthcare system, and consider appropriate adaptations to address these concerns. Uses of simulation as a systemic probe, for opening new facilities and programs and for future design will be addressed.

A light lunch will be served.
