Description
Exposes students to contraception (with an emphasis on long term reversible methods of contraception and contraception for medically complex patients), medical abortion, and first and second trimester surgical abortion. Students will work with family planning faculty and fellows in the variety of clinical settings, including Stanford ambulatory clinic and operating theater, and community locations such as Planned Parenthood and Santa Clara Valley Medical Center.

Prerequisites
Gynecology 300A, Surgery 300A.

Periods Available
1-12, full-time for two weeks. 1 student per period.
