Selection Process
Every two-and-a-half years, four new trustees are identified and nominated for a five-year term through a selection process administered by the Stanford Alumni Association on behalf of Stanford's alumni.
The selection process is comprised of three rounds, each narrowing the applicant pool. Applicants who advance through all three rounds will have completed two written applications and an in-person interview. The selection process will begin again in March 2017.
The most recent alumni-nominated trustees will take office in September 2015.
