Synthesis Supergroup

Molecular Structure

About the Group

The Department of Chemistry's Synthesis Supergroup organizes bi-monthly meetings, and students take turns leading sessions and designing problem sets. Meetings consist of organized group problem solving, literature analysis, and synthesis challenges.

The group was created to increase communication and camaraderie between research groups and to give students the opportunity to augment their knowledge of chemistry beyond what they see in their own research groups. All students, postdoctoral fellows, and faculty in the department are invited to participate, and food is provided at each meeting. Additionally, problem sets are uploaded for all to view.
