Graduate Program

GEOPHYS 171, June 2014 - SW Volcanism in Southern California and Utah Graduate studies in the Department of Geophysics involve academic course work and independent research. Our programs grant Ph.D. and M.S. degrees. Course programs are tailored to the student's needs and interests with the aid of his or her research adviser. Students are encouraged to include in their program courses offered in other departments in the School of Earth, Energy & Environmental Sciences as well as in other departments in the University. Many geophysics research projects offer fieldwork or internship opportunities for collecting geophysical data or partnering with industry and international partners.
