Why Login?

• Access to restricted content. Anyone with a full-service SUNet ID can login to these pages via Stanford WebLogin to access content that is restricted to Stanford affiliates or to particular sub-communities and groups.
• Bookmarks on the site, not your browser. When you login via Stanford WebLogin with your SUNet ID, our web site creates a user account for you. At this time, the one "user account" feature we have enabled is bookmarking. On any content page, you can click on the "Bookmark this" link found in the left sidebar of a page. You can access your saved bookmarks from the sidebar menu of your user account page (to get to your user account page, click on the "My Account" link that appears at the right end of the top menu of every page when you are logged in to the site).
• Stakeholder review of draft content. From time to time, individual users outside IT Services are involved in reviewing and commenting on new and revised pages and sites.

• Logging in gives you all of the capabilities listed above, plus the ability to edit content appropriate to your role.
