How to Make an Appointment

To schedule an appointment with a UAR advisor, call (650) 723-2426 or visit the first floor in Sweet Hall.  Regular business hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. during the week, with the exception of Thursdays, which are from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Note that appointments are scheduled for future dates; appointments cannot be scheduled for same-day meetings.

Students who wish to meet with a Sweet Hall academic advisor are encouraged to call (650) 723-2426 to schedule an appointment.  Note that the Sweet Hall Advising Team is composed of general and specialized advisors that include Pre-Professional (pre-health, pre-law, pre-education, pre-business), Transfers, Returning Students, Coterminal Students, Research & Fellowships, Pre-Major Advising, and Progress & Policy.

For quick ten-minute questions, students can visit Sweet Hall for drop-in advising during the following times (Note: Drop-in advising is not available during the summer) :

• Mondays - Fridays from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
• Sign-ups begin at 12:00 p.m.

Duration of Drop-in Advising Meetings: 10-minute meetings only; students needing additional time will be encouraged to schedule a longer appointment with their advisor

Drop-in advising may also be offered by Academic Advisors for Student-Athletes and Academic Advising Directors.  See postings at their respective locations for current drop-in advising hours.
