2006|Case No.E233

This case tracks three difficult situations faced by Rick Corcoran during his tenure career as an aspiring entrepreneur. In September 2003, his partner abruptly abandoned their handshake agreement and left him without a source of income. With his second child on the way and a huge mortgage, Corcoran needed to negotiate a fair and equitable dissolution to their partnership. In September 2005, when he and another partner were developing Easy Suppers food preparation stores, Corcoran had to resolve a heated dispute with his company’s licensor. Finally, in April 2006, he was forced to have a direct conversation with a valuable employee about weaknesses in her performance.
