CIGH Senior Fellow Affiliation Program

In an effort to strengthen and grow our global health community at Stanford, the Center for Innovation in Global Health has launched a Senior Fellow status for faculty who play an interdisciplinary role in global health research, education and clinical care at Stanford. The program provides faculty with support at various junctures in their careers, including preference in global health seed award selection, and the opportunity to be affiliated with an extensive network of passionate, committed global health professionals across campus and the globe.

 

Eligibility

Stanford faculty on the CE, MCL or UTL lines are eligible to become Senior Fellows. Additionally, senior level research and teaching staff able to mentor students and PhD candidates will be considered.

Criteria for becoming a Senior Fellow include:

  • 1) interest and ability to mentor a student
  • 2) demonstration of overseas affiliations
  • 3) willingness to lecture or teach a course involving global health issues
  •  

Benefits

There are several benefits to becoming a Senior Fellow, including, but not limited to:

  • ·  Access to a network of stellar students interested in global health projects and/or seeking opportunities that may contribute to faculty global health efforts
  • ·  Preference in the Center’s global health seed award selection
  • ·  Option to include CIGH Senior Fellow status on CV, publications, proposals and professional titles
  • ·  Access to CIGH core faculty for guided review of grant proposals and project development
