Capital Planning

Who We Are

The Department of Capital Planning leads the University's capital planning process each year. In addition, we collaborate with the department of Institutional Space Management and Planning to facilitate the allocation and evaluation of space throughout the University on an ongoing basis. Capital Planning reports to the Associate Vice President of Finance and Administration within Land, Buildings and Real Estate.

What We Do

In addition to managing the University’s capital plan and allocating space on campus, we:

  • manage the Form 1 process and Facilities Reserve program for the University
  • undertake space planning and utilization studies in support of the University's goals and priorities
  • develop space-related policies and procedures

To achieve each of these tasks, the Department of Capital Planning interfaces and communicates regularly with the Office of the Provost, colleagues within LBRE, Deans, Directors, and Senior Officers of the University.
