DCPSM makes available to the University community a range of guidelines as tools for space planning and management.

Space and Furniture Planning Guidelines

In March of 2003, the Department of Capital Planning issued the Stanford University Space and Furniture Planning Guidelines (pdf). These guidelines were the product of over a year of study, consultation and development. The guidelines are being used on the Stanford campus and have been continually updated.

The latest version of the Space Guidelines includes new furniture guidelines for the University.

Input, opinions and suggestions on the guidelines are welcomed.

The Facilities Reserve Guideline

The Facilities Reserve Guideline assists in the funding of capital projects that support the academic objectives of the University. Requests for funding from the Facilities Reserve are compiled and prioritized as part of the annual Capital Plan process and are coordinated with the Form 1 process.
