We offer a variety of workshops, and we're able to tailor workshop sessions for individual faculty members, academic programs, or student groups.  Please contact speakinghelp@stanford.edu to request workshops on general speaking skills, effective use of visual aids, or other specialized topics.

Drop-in Vocal Yoga

Students participate in a voice workshop with Tom Freeland

Vocal Yoga is a weekly voice workshop designed to help you get your voice in shape!  These sessions are open to the entire Stanford community and held Tuesdays from 12:00 to 1:00 pm in room C-101 in the Graduate School of Business.   Drop in any week, or contact thomas@stanford.edu for more information.

 

T.E.A. (Thursday English Afternoons)

Students participate in Thursday English Afternoons (TEA)

These sessions are open to non-native English speakers (Stanford undergrads and grad students) and held Thursdays during Weeks 3-10 during Autumn, Winter, and Spring from 4:00-5:30pm in the Hume Center for Writing and Speaking in Building 250. Oral communication and writing tutors are available to guide casual English conversation practice. For more information, contact kfritz@stanford.edu.
