Diversity Outreach and Engagement

The Graduate Programs and Diversity Office and the Genetics Diversity Office coordinate outreach and educational activities each year. Throughout the year, we encourage students to participate in a variety of ways, from helping us recruit at conferences and universities around the nation to assisting with campus events and programs.

Stanford Summer Research Program (SSRP)

The Stanford Summer Research Program (SSRP) is a fully funded, nine-week research program for undergraduates interested in scientific research.

The Stanford Diversity Outreach for Doctoral Education Retreat (STANDOUT)

The Stanford Diversity Outreach for Doctoral Education Centers of Influence Recruitment Retreat (STANDOUT) is a two-day program that aims to support program directors, faculty, and administrators who work with diverse undergraduates in preparation for doctoral studies.

Stanford at The Tech

Through Stanford at The Tech, Stanford Biosciences graduate students lead hands-on genetic activities at The Tech Museum of Innovation. In conjunction with this program, students can answer questions online through Ask a Geneticist and share new genetics findings through Genetics in the News.
