Stanford/Palo Alto Foot & Ankle Fellowship

The Stanford Foot and Ankle Fellowship is offered by the Stanford University Hospital and is designed to provide the fellow with a thorough and comprehensive approach to the medical and surgical management of patients with acute injuries and chronic conditions affecting the foot and ankle and lower extremity. The program emphasizes surgery on the foot and ankle. The educational methods include assessment of patients in clinics, pre-operative planning sessions, radiology, rounds, and direct surgical experience. The fellow is expected to participate in a minimum of one research project that will be submitted to a national meeting and for publication.

This one-year fellowship begins August 1. One non-ACGME-accredited fellowship position is available each year.

The Stanford Foot and Ankle Fellowship accepts applications through the Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Fellowship SF Match Program.

Applicants must have a current California State Medical License and be board-eligible, with the satisfactory completion of an approved orthopaedic residency training program.  This requires two years of ACGME-accredited training in the United States or Canada and completion of all three parts of the U.S. Medical Licensing Examination.
