  1. Simple Steps for Starting Your Business Session 1: Startup Basics

    SCORE presents a five-part series of pre-business workshops to help participants reach a “go or no-go” decision for a start-up. Session 1: Startup Basics This introductory workshop focuses on the basics of testing a business idea and identifying the key factors that influence startup success. Startup Basics provides an overview of the skills and tools needed when deciding to start a business. In this session, clients learn about the advantages and disadvantages of owning a business, the most profitable form for their business, and the fundamentals of formation, organization, marketing, cash flow and funding sources.

  1. Neighborhood meeting regarding medical marijuana in District 3

    May 11, 6:30 PM @ District 3 Meeting Roosevelt Community Center

    In April and May, the City of San José will be holding Neighborhood Meetings in all ten City Council districts and at City Hall to discuss the subject of medical marijuana in San José and the citizens’ initiative on the local ballot in June. If passed, the local initiative (Measure C) would replace the City’s current medical marijuana program.

  2. Community Budget Meeting - District 9

    May 11, 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM

    During the month of May, the City of San José will host 10 Community Budget Meetings in every City Council district. These meetings offer residents the opportunity to learn about the City's current fiscal outlook and share their top budget priorities directly with City leaders.
