  1. City-wide Youth Track Meet

    May 7, 7:00 AM - 9:00 AM @ Mt. Pleasant High School Track & Field

    Does your child love to run? Sponsored by the San José Police Amateur Athletic Foundation, this free event is open to all boys and girls born between 2002 and 2008. There will be a variety of track events, from the 100 meter to the 4x400 relay and various field events, including the standing long jump, softball throw, and turbo javelin. For more information, please contact Jason Pierce, Track Meet Director, at Jason.pierce@sanjoseca.gov. The deadline to register online is May 4th.

  1. Community Budget Meeting - District 5

    May 7, 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM

    During the month of May, the City of San José will host 10 Community Budget Meetings in every City Council district. These meetings offer residents the opportunity to learn about the City's current fiscal outlook and share their top budget priorities directly with City leaders.

One Day Volunteer Events

  1. Municipal Rose Garden Volunteer Day!

    May 7, 8:45 AM - 12:00 PM @ Municipal Rose Garden

    Please join us for the first dead-heading of the year! The roses have bloomed in abundance and now we need to snip off those blooms to encourage the next cycle. There will also be a Rose Care Seminar for those that are interested in learning more about the care and growth of roses. Tools and Training provided. Please wear closed-toe shoes (no cloth shoes) and long sleeves. Dressing in layers works well for the morning time period. Please bring your own filled water bottle. No need to pre-register. Just come and help us keep the 3,500 roses blooming! We hope to see you there! Thank You!
