Silicon Valley Energy Watch logoWith support from the Silicon Valley Energy Watch, your nonprofit can implement low or no cost energy upgrades and help lower operation costs, so that your organization saves money and can better support your mission.  A member of our team will perform a no-cost no-obligation audit, and help you determine the best energy savings strategy for your facility. We can help you with project financing and to identify rebates and incentives to help further lower the costs to you.

Services
Customized Retrofit Incentives
Also known as Non Residential Retrofits, you can save energy and money with these customized PG&E incentives for business energy efficiency retrofit projects. These incentives go towards the installation of high-efficiency equipment or equipment systems. Post-installation, businesses are rewarded with cash payments based on the actual annual kWh or therm savings that are achieved.

Retrocommissioning
Retrocommissioning (RCx) is a systematic engineering process for identifying less-than-optimal performance in a facility’s existing equipment and control systems, and making necessary repairs or reprogramming to save energy. Whereas retrofits involve replacing outdated equipment, RCx focuses on improving the efficiency of what is already in place. Businesses are able to save money on their energy bills without the costs associated with installing new equipment.

Benchmarking
An excellent way to track your building’s energy use over time, for compliance and energy management, is through benchmarking. If your building occupies over 5,000 square feet, beginning in July 2016, you must disclose your facility’s energy usage if you sell, lease, finance or refinance the property. Energy Star Portfolio Manager is a free online benchmarking tool provided by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Through this application you can track the energy and water use of your facility, compare it to other similar buildings, and apply for Energy Star certification.
