Headed to Monster Jam? Buy Roundtrip Fare Ahead of Time

Beginning Saturday, April 9 with Monster Jam 2016, passengers taking VTA’s light rail to Levi’s Stadium must purchase a roundtrip ticket if they plan to take VTA home after the event. Single Ride tickets will not be available at the stadium. 

The most convenient way to purchase a roundtrip Excursion Pass is through VTA’s EventTIK mobile app at the iTunes Store or Google Play. Clipper Cards are also an easy form of fare payment and can be purchased at most Walgreen Stores in Santa Clara County.

A roundtrip light rail Excursion Pass can also be purchased at ticket vending machines at Transit Centers and light rail platforms but this must be done before your trip to the event.

There are no ticket vending machines at the stadium or before the queue line entrance where you must show your proof of fare before boarding light rail. Having pre-purchased fares allow passengers to board more quickly and keep the lines moving faster.
