Gazmend Daci is a Senior Energy Specialist at the World Bank country office in Tirana.
Prior to joining the World Bank in 2009, Mr. Daci worked in UNMIK Kosovo. He was the Chairman of the Board of Directors in Kosovo Transmission Company during the period of 2006-2008. For 20 years, Mr. Daci held different expert and managerial positions in Albanian Power Corporation (KESH) such as Director of Institute of Energy, Director the Project Management Unit, Director of the Planning and Investment Department, Technical Advisor of CEO of KESH, General Manager of the Albanian Transmission System and Marker Operator Company, and technical Advisor of the Minister of Economy, Trade and Energy in Albania.
His area of expertise includes all aspects of power sector and the application of technology to improve the management and operations of power sector infrastructure. He is experienced in power system planning, power generation, transmission and distribution, regional connectivity and cross-border infrastructure and trade, power sector market design and regulation.
Mr. Daci has a PhD in Power System and Control. He holds Master and Bachelor degrees in Power Engineering. He also holds an Advanced Study Diploma on Power Engineering from University Pierre and Marie Curie in Paris-6, France.
