Faces of Community Student Speakers and Performers

We are looking for students to share their personal stories with or perform for the Class of 2020 and transfers. Under the supervision of the Office of the Vice Provost for Student Affairs, Faces of Community is an NSO program that aims to introduce incoming freshmen and transfers to the diversity of the Stanford campus. It is a space for us to come together and celebrate the events in our lives that have shaped who we are: the triumphs, the lessons, and the hardships. In order to make this program possible, we need the participation of students, faculty, and staff members.

Please encourage members of your community to share their personal narratives with us; particularly stories relevant to your life within the Stanford community. As a committee, we want to be sure to include a wide range of voices and thus need your help to spread the word.

Faces of Community will be held on Wednesday, September 21, 2016. Speakers and performers will need to return to campus on Saturday, September 17, and help with Move-In at the dorms on Tuesday morning, September 20. Early Arrival Housing and Dining will be provided to students with on-campus housing for the 2016-17 academic year. Speakers and performers must be enrolled undergraduate students for the 2016-17 academic year.

For more information, contact Faces of Community producers Paul Watkins (pwatkins@stanford.edu) or Alli Martin (amartin9@stanford.edu). Applications are due on Saturday, January 23, 2016, at 5 p.m.
