SeRA New Account Setup

Seminar for research administrators on how to prepare and complete new account-PTA setup transactions for funded sponsored research projects via the SeRA System.  Overview of the award to account setup process flow and how Oracle P-T-A's are configured based on the award terms and conditions.

 

How to Manage Awards with Carry Forward Restrictions 

October 18, 2017 - 3:00 to 4:00 pm

Seminar for research administrators on how to manage awards that require prior approval for carrying forward of funds from one year to another.  Best practices on how to prepare for  requesting carry forward approval from the sponsor.  Also tips how to leverage SeRA to help setup the right accounting treatment for carry forward fund balances.  

 

OSR Post Award Management: “Don’t We Just Catch That at Closeout?”

Seminar highlighting best practices for effective life of the award management of sponsored research projects for research administrators. Tips and tricks to maintain compliance with award terms and conditions, federal and University policies and documenting in anticipation of the project closeout process.

How to Manage Your Faculty's Research Project Portfolio with SeRA My Projects

November 1, 2017 - 10:30 to 11:30 am

Seminar on SeRA My Projects features and functions.  Learn how you can quickly access information about your faculty's portfolio including account balances with My Accounts, submitted proposals, active awarded projects and projects in closeout.  See how you can manage and prepare current and pending/other support reports from within SeRA.  Clean-up old proposals and update Major Goals information.

NSF Spring 2017 Grants Conference

Semi-annual NSF Grants Conferences are essential learning opportunities for new faculty, researchers and administrators who want to gain key insights into a wide range of current issues at NSF. NSF program officers representing each NSF directorate will be on hand to provide up-to-date information about specific funding opportunities and to answer attendee questions.

The Spring 2017 NSF Grants Conference will be held at the Hyatt Regency in Louisville, Kentucky.

Our annual National Science Foundation Updates Seminar  was held on November 30th at the Clark Center (Room S360), between 10 and noon.

The session was presented by Nicole Pobuta from OSR and Catalina Verdu-Cano from DOR.
