Landau Discussion Paper Prize

The Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research (SIEPR) awards the Claire and Ralph Landau Student Discussion Paper Prize for the best student-written SIEPR working paper.

The $2,500 prize is a tribute to the Landaus and their countless contributions to SIEPR and Stanford’s economics department. The range of eligible topics is as broad as Ralph Landau’s interests were in economics — papers can deal with any issue involving the formulation or evaluation of economic policy.

Requirements for submission:

  1. Student papers must be approved for the SIEPR Discussion Paper Series by a Stanford faculty member to ensure the high quality of submissions.
  2. Papers must be policy oriented.
  3. Papers must contain an abstract.

Applications for the 2017 Landau Prize are due April 17, 2017.
