As a retiree, your medical options depend on your Medicare eligibility.
To enroll in any of our retiree medical plans, you must be enrolled in Medicare Parts A and B. Eligible dependents who are age 65 and older or who receive Social Security Disability Income (SSDI) also must be enrolled in Medicare Parts A and B. Medicare requires that you pay a premium for Part B in addition to the premium you pay for your Stanford retiree health plan. Visit www.medicare.gov and www.ssa.gov for more information.
Non-Medicare Eligible (Under age 65) | Medicare Eligible (65 and older) |

If both you and your dependents are non-Medicare eligible, you receive active employee medical benefits. Learn more about faculty and staff medical plans. |
If you and your eligible dependents are Medicare eligible, you will receive the benefits described under retiree medical plans. |
