RESIDENCY PROGRAM
Stanford's Ophthalmology Residency is a three-year program designed to provide intensive clinical and surgical training in an academic environment which encourages close interaction between residents and faculty. Four residents are accepted each year.

The Department of Ophthalmology provides post-graduate clinical training in the following subspecialties:

RESEARCH FELLOWSHIPS
We offer a one-year Ophthalmic Innovation Fellowship as well as many opportunities for clinical and basic/translational research fellowships throughout the department.

BAY AREA OPHTHALMOLOGY COURSE
The Bay Area Ophthalmology Course (formerly the Basic Science Course in Ophthalmology) has been offered to the vision community since 1970, presented by faculty from the four area teaching programs and recognized experts from other institutions.
