Perception, Beliefs, and Reality: Using Neuroscience to Understand User Experiences

CIOs are constantly faced with questions about how to deliver superior user experiences. Thinking about the perfect user experience often brings to mind images of superior technology, but current research shows this may not be the case.

Stanford Graduate School of Business (GSB) Professor Baba Shiv previews a new Executive Education program for senior technology leaders, The Innovative CIO, and shares insights from neuroscience that CIOs need to know to enhance their users’ experiences. This one-hour webinar features a 30-minute session that will examine the importance of perception and often non-conscious beliefs in shaping reality when making technological decisions.

Professor Shiv will also provide information and answer questions about The Innovative CIO, which gives senior IT leaders the data, tools, and innovation frameworks to drive change and leverage technology across their enterprises. The program combines the expertise of Stanford GSB faculty with insights from Silicon Valley speakers, venture capital panels, and a unique opportunity to interact with Stanford PhD students who are actively developing tomorrow’s innovative technologies.
