The Stanford Chemistry Department’s outreach program provides high school and K–5 students and teachers with opportunities to learn and interact with young scientists who are truly passionate about chemistry. Our hands-on, guided inquiry lab experiences illustrate how chemistry is critical to decisions that all of us make in the ‘real world,’ and ignite an interest in many young students to pursue futures in the sciences.
High school students can also learn about graduate school, chemistry research, and the career steps to becoming a scientist through our shadowing and school visit programs. Please let us know if you might be interested in coordinating a visit from our high school or K–5 outreach program!
