Research Symposium 2018
On June 12, 2018 we held our first annual Residency Research Symposium. Nearly 50 residents presented posters of their scholarly works and research to the Department of Medicine Chair, Vice Chair, Program Directors, faculty, fellows, residents, medical students, visitors and staff.
We believe that the key to succesful scholarship during residency is mentorship from the department's faculty, and making sure resident-researcher connections are made early. As such, we work to link trainees with mentors starting in their intern year. Residents can also apply for one month of elective time dedicated solely to research during each of their PGY-2 and PGY-3 years.
