Permit Cancellation/Return Policy
Parking permits should be purchased as needed. All parking payments are non-refundable. Only long-term permits can be returned to stop future payments. Once a permit is returned, it is immediately inactive.
How to return/cancel your commuter or resident permit
Return your permit using our online ordering system. Please refer to our "How To" guide on returning a permit if you would like step-by-step instructions.
For ongoing Pre-Tax Payroll Deduction and recurring debits/charges associated with long term permits, you must return your permit by the end of the current month to avoid being charged for the next month’s deduction and subsequent deductions.
Contact us at transportation@stanford.edu or 650.723.9362 if you have questions on returning or canceling your permit.
Why return your permit
