Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics

A total of 216 athletes, 123 men and 93 women, made up the U.S. Olympic team who participated in the Vancouver Winter Games.

Eighty-seven were returning Olympians, 31 had previously won medals. Three, luge athlete Mark Grimmette, Nordic combined skier Todd Lodwick and alpine skier Casey Puckett, made their fifth Olympic appearance.

The only other American who had competed in five Winter Games was bobsled driver Brian Shimmer, who coached the men's bobsled team.
