You can now find and access Natural Earth geospatial data directly from EarthWorks.

Natural Earth is a collection of tightly-integrated vector shapefile data representing physical and cultural features of the world. This collection is an excellent resource for creating customized maps using GIS software. Because this collection is in the public domain, anyone can access and use these data for any type of project. Data for many features are available at 1:10, 1:50, and 1:110 million scales. Nearly 100 individual layers are currently available through EarthWorks, including:

• Coastlines
• Parks and protected areas

• Populated places
