About

Falconer Biology Library provides quiet and inviting study space and a collection of periodicals, monographs, and reference works specifically emphasizing the life sciences. Biology course materials are on reserve here, and copies of Biology Department honors theses and Ph.D. theses are available. Digital materials, including a large collection of journal article databases and digital journals are available through the library’s website. Library staff can answer questions or help students get started with literature research.

Accessibility

Falconer is partially wheelchair accessible. Persons with limited mobility should contact the library before visiting, as staff assistance may be required to enter the building. Staff can assist with retrieving items from the mezzanine.

Location

Located on the third floor of Herrin Hall, Falconer Library offers inviting quiet study space with plentiful natural light and large tables, individual study carrels, a group study room, and shaded balconies with tables and chairs.

To find the library, you can follow either one of the directions below:

- From Serra Mall, climb the stairs to the second floor of Herrin Hall. Walk around the building and across the bridge. Climb the outdoor stairs, which are between Herrin Labs and Herrin Hall, to the third floor, then find the entrance to the library across the bridge.

- Follow the pedestrian way on the right side of Herrin Hall. Turn left immediately after passing Herrin Hall. Climb the outdoor stairs, which are between Herrin Labs and Herrin Hall, to the third floor, then find the entrance to the library across the bridge.

You can also use the elevator in Herrin Labs.
