The Global Terrorism Database (GTD) is an open-source database including information on terrorist events around the world from 1970 through 2014 (with additional annual updates planned for the future). Unlike many other event databases, the GTD includes systematic data on domestic as well as transnational and international terrorist incidents that have occurred during this time period and now includes more than 140,000 cases. For each GTD incident, information is available on the date and location of the incident, the weapons used and nature of the target, the number of casualties, and--when identifiable--the group or individual responsible.

The IMF publishes a range of time series data on IMF lending, exchange rates and other economic and financial indicators. Manuals, guides, and other material on statistical practices at the IMF, in member countries, and of the statistical community at large are also available.  Includes access to the 'big 4' IMF Datasets: Balance of Payments (BOPs), Direction of Trade Statistics (DOTs), Government Finance Statistics (GFS), and International Financial Statistics (IFS).

SAGE Research Methods is a tool created to help researchers, faculty and students with their research projects. Users can explore methods concepts to help them design research projects, understand particular methods or identify a new method, conduct their research, and write up their findings. Since SAGE Research Methods focuses on methodology rather than disciplines, it can be used across the social sciences, health sciences, and other areas of research.

The Statistical Abstracts of the World is a collection of the statistical abstracts of approximately 40 countries, both individually searchable and cross searchable. These statistical abstracts are generally issued by the national statistical offices of foreign governments and contain country-level data not easily found elsewhere. Global and regional statistical compendia issued by international organizations and research firms are also included. Time coverage is from 2012 to current. If you need earlier years, check Searchworks for a print copy. Not all countries are included in this database, but the library might have print versions.
