SciFinder web
The SciFinder® Keep Me Posted feature lets you quickly and easily set up alerts for references or substances of interest. New users of SciFinder web are required to complete a one-time registration process. The 7th edition of the science-softCon "UV/Vis+ Spectra Data Base" contains about 5600 spectra/data sheets (ascii-format) and additional photochemistry information from published papers of about 900 substances. The data base is subdivided into 27 substance groups.  The database is divided into a Literature Service and a Spectra Service.  The Literature Service provides spectra data sheets with information concerning publications of EUV-VUV-UV-Vis-NIR spectral data and related information (e.g. quantum yield studies, photolysis studies, etc.).  The Spectra Service provides in addition the spectra data (high and low resolution spectra, from low temperatures to high temperatures) in digital form, graphical representations of the spectral data, and additional photochemical information.

NIST DataGateway
The Gateway provides easy access to NIST scientific and technical data. These data cover a broad range of substances and properties from many different scientific disciplines. The Gateway includes links to selected free online NIST databases as well as to information on NIST databases available for purchase. Search by specific keywords, properties and substances.
Physical Properties Sources Index (PPSI)
The Physical Properties Sources Index (PPSI) is a tool for finding resources for physico-chemical and other material properties. This index does not display the measured values of a physical property of a given compound, for example, values of the dipole moment of water. But it lists the sources that contain the dipole-moment values. The data sources have been put together and ranked by the Information Center, ETH in Zurich.

LibX Stanford University Edition
LibX is a browser plugin that works with FireFox and Chrome. Installing it enables you to search a number of resources from your browser toolbar. AAPT Advanced Labs

Produced by the American Association for Physics Teachers, this site provides a central, comprehensive information base for college/university faculty who teach upper-level undergraduate laboratories. These include, but are not limited to, labs in electronics, condensed matter, optics, atomic physics, mechanics, and the like -- and also researched-based, independent-study labs. Accepted resources will be available by browsing or searching the collection by content topic or resource type.

AMSER: Applied Math and Science Pathway

AMSER (Applied Math and Science Education Repository) is a portal of educational resources and services built specifically for those in community and technical colleges, but free for anyone to use. AMSER is funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF) as part of the National Science Digital Library, and is being created by a team of project partners led by Internet Scout.

BEN: Biological Sciences Pathway

A NSDL Pathway, BEN Collaborative partner organizations provide access to over 4,700 reviewed resources covering 77 biological sciences topics. BEN provides resources, tools, and professional development for educators at the high school and undergraduate levels. BEN is managed by the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS).

Center for History of Physics

Established by AIP, the mission is to preserve and make known the history of modern physics and allied fields. The history of a community offers invaluable guidance. WWW Virtual Library: Physics

The WWW Virtual Library (VL) is the oldest catalogue of the Web, started by Tim Berners-Lee, the creator of HTML and of the Web itself, in 1991 at CERN in Geneva. Unlike commercial catalogues, it is run by a loose confederation of volunteers, who compile pages of key links for particular areas in which they are expert; even though it isn't the biggest index of the Web, the VL pages are widely recognized as being amongst the highest-quality guides to particular sections of the Web.
