Nutrition Counseling

Individual Consultations

Registered Stanford students can arrange to meet with a registered dietitian to understand and explore their unique nutritional needs.  An appointment can address your nutrition-related concerns such as healthy weight management, disordered eating or eating disorders, high blood cholesterol, and digestive problems.  The goal is to help you thrive as a student, help you find your healthy weight through a health-centered approach to eating, or answer your questions about general nutrition.

A 60-minute nutrition consultation involves a thorough diet assessment, an evaluation of your nutritional status, and goal setting to help you change your nutrition behavior.  Follow-up appointments are available since most consultations take one to three visits.

Scheduling a nutrition appointment is easy, and a referral is not required.  Students can book an appointment online through the VadenPatient portal or by calling 650- 498-2336, ext. 1.  If you have medical concerns, please consider scheduling an appointment with a Medical Services clinician before scheduling an appointment with the nutritionist.

Eating Disorder Specialty Consultations

Eating disorder specialists from Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital provide onsite medical and nutritional services for students who require intensive, ongoing medical care and monitoring.  A referral from Vaden Health Center and Cardinal Care or private insurance is required for specialty consultations.
