The world of consulting is vast, with firms ranging in size from the global to the small independent agency, and with focal areas from business strategy and management to specialized healthcare or scientific subject matter expertise. All share in common the delivering of services and knowledge in exchange for a fee to help clients operate more successfully. Researchers and clinicians are in demand within this sector, and valued in cases for their expertise and in others for their more general analytical capabilities.
