About

The Harold A. Miller Library supports the research and teaching needs of Hopkins Marine Station. Its primary focus is on marine biology, but it also collects materials on oceanography, fisheries, and other aquatic sciences. It maintains its own special collections and archives. Books unique to the Miller Library collection can be paged by main campus patrons through SearchWorks.

Address

Hopkins Marine Station
120 Ocean View Blvd.
Pacific Grove, CA 93950-3094

Access

Residents of Hopkins have key access. Given the small staff, patrons coming down from main campus should call or email in advance to confirm the library will be open and someone available to help.

Accessibility

Most areas of the library are accessible to patrons with limited mobility.

Location

Hopkins Marine Station is located 90 miles south of the main Stanford campus, adjacent to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. The Miller Library is located on the west side of the Pacific Grove campus.

Transit and parking

Using public transportation between Stanford and Hopkins is possible but not very convenient. Faculty, students, and staff driving down from main campus will find parking on the immediate left as they enter the Pacific Grove campus. The library is located further to the left.
