Keynote Speaker: Honorable Rajiv Shah, MD, MSc, former administrator of the United States Agency for International Development.
"We are really looking forward to hearing from Dr. Shah at the Annual Meeting," ASTMH President Christopher V. Plowe, MD, MPH, FASTMH, said. "He was a transformational leader at USAID, which greatly advanced its position at the forefront of global health and development on his watch. Dr. Shah has a special appreciation of the intertwining roles of policy, politics, research, development and implementation -- we hope that his insights, especially about bringing together diverse partners, will provide a framework for some good discussions during the days after his lecture," Plowe added.
