Mission

The Stanford University Master of Science Degree in Physician Assistant Studies Program's mission is to educate and train compassionate and diverse PAs who can provide high-quality patient-centered care, who are dedicated to improving access to healthcare for underserved communities, and who are inspired to become leaders in healthcare, research and medical education.    


Goals

Goal 1: Recruit diverse and highly qualified applicants who can successfully complete the rigorous Master of Science Degree in PA Studies Program.

Goal 2: Educate PAs to provide high-value, patient-centered care as members of an interprofessional health care team.

Goal 3: Prepare graduates to practice in any area of medicine.

Goal 4: Increase deployment of graduates to the Stanford health care community and underserved healthcare communities throughout California and the nation.

Goal 5: Develop future PA leaders in Community Health, Clinical Research, Health Services and Policy Research and Medical Education.
