Section Chief

The Neuro-Oncology Section is headed by Paul Fisher, MD, MHS.  Dr. Fisher is the Beirne Family Professor of Pediatric Neuro-Oncology, Director of the Center for Brain and Behavior, and the Bing Director of the Program in Human Biology. He is an internationally known expert on childhood brain tumors and neurologic effects of cancer and its therapies.  In addition to leading the Section, and also serving as Chief of the Division of Child Neurology, Dr. Fisher maintains an active epidemiologic research program centered on risk factors for development of childhood brain tumors, and the relationship between all pediatric cancers and birth defects.
