Office of Postdoctoral Affairs - PeopleSoft Postdoc Web Forms Project

IMPORTANT
Department managers request PeopleSoft authority for their postdoc staff by submitting a HelpSU ticket.

The Office of Postdoctoral Affairs moved to PeopleSoft Web Forms as of August 12, 2011.  This process replaces the submission of appointments, extensions, funding changes, leave requests and other transactions which were done via paper forms and email.  The new system uses Workflow and a security setup that is akin to what is in place for other PS modules.  All campus staff users require prior training in order to receive authority to access the system.

Why did we do this?   View a presentation of the project scope and rationale.

Required PeopleSoft Training:
University staff who administer postdoctoral scholar paperwork are required to complete PeopleSoft training to receive PeopleSoft access.

PeopleSoft Concepts and Compliance (online course)

Required Postdoc Web Forms and Policy Training:
Training classes for Postdoc Web Forms and Policy are held on the first Friday of every month at the Postdoc Open Labs (see the Postdoc Open Labs section below for dates and locations).

Postdoc Open Labs:
For anyone who needs a little one-on-one help with a question or problem they are having with the Postdoc web forms module in PeopleSoft and/or GFS. The labs are an unstructured format; first come, first served, and are staffed by OPA Staff and PeopleSoft Analysts.  Please bring your real work with you for help in real-time.

NOTE: NEW LOCATION for select Postdoc Open Labs (not PeopleSoft/GFS) dates below.
