EdTech Recommendations
With the growing popularty and ubiquity of mobile devices, EdTech has adopted and recommends a mobile-friendly approach to any web development. Many content management systems such as Wordpress and Drupal now include mobile-friendly and screen-size responsive designs. For a quick and relatively easy method of building mobile-specific web pages, EdTech recommends starting with the iUi CSS framework, although EdTech has also used and recommends for advanced users other frameworks, such as jQuery Mobile or Bootstrap.
iUi
iUI is a framework consisting of a JavaScript library, CSS, and images for developing advanced mobile webapps for iPhone and comparable/compatible devices.
- iUI has the following features:
- Create Navigational Menus and iPhone-style interfaces from standard HTML
- Use or knowledge of JavaScript is not required to create modern mobile web pages
- Ability to handle phone orientation changes
- Provide a more "iPhone-like" experience in your Web apps
