B.A., University of Northern Iowa
Ph.D., Stanford University
Grant Rozeboom was born and raised in the Midwest, where he attended the University of Northern Iowa for his undergraduate degree in philosophy. He recently completed his Ph.D. in philosophy at Stanford. He also did graduate coursework at the University of Iowa and Harvard. His dissertation, Having the Right Attitude, is about the place of the attitude of respect for persons in our everyday social lives, and his philosophical interests include ethics, political philosophy, and the philosophy of action. He’s excited to be able to cover many of these topics in his OHS classes.
He has previously taught high school- and college-level courses at Stanford and the University of San Francisco. These days, most of his time outside of teaching for the OHS and working on his research is spent keeping up with his one-year-old child, but he also enjoys running and trying to keep the rust off of his piano-playing and golfing skills.
