Biography

Athena Serapio is the Program Coordinator for Water in the West. She coordinates conferences, workshops, seminar series and other special events, and provides administrative support for the program. She supports Water in the West’s mission to design, articulate and advance sustainable water management for the people and environment of the American West.

Before coming to the Stanford Woods Institute, Athena worked at Stanford’s Biology department as an administrative associate supporting faculty and research labs. Prior to that, she planned and coordinated conferences, trade shows and meetings in the San Francisco Bay Area.  She also worked at the University of California, Irvine as a senior contract administrator in the Design & Construction Services department.

Athena graduated from San Diego State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication with an emphasis on Public Relations and a minor in Political Science.
