Conferences & Workshops

Our conferences/workshops are designed to engage you in interactive learning sessions; provide the most up-to-date information and strategies; and develop or enhance skills that you may apply in clinical practice, research, or teaching.

 

Online Courses

Stanford connects you to the latest online educational offerings through multi-modal teaching. Learn best practices from world renowned faculty through videos, simulation role plays, demonstrations, case studies, panel discussions, and more. The new found knowledge and skills that you apply during courses will enable you to improve your practice.

Regularly Scheduled Series

Stanford offers our faculty, staff, and affiliates a wide variety of Grand Rounds, Case Conferences, Tumor Boards, Morbidity & Mortality Conferences, and Journal Clubs. Each series has a regular meeting time, date, and structure. Sessions are usually 1-2 hours in length and focus on clinical topics, research, case presentations, patient-physician communication, and other content that meets Stanford’s educational needs. 


Immersive & Simulation Training

The Goodman Simulation Center, the Center for Immersive and Simulation-based Learning (CISL), and Center for Advanced Pediatric & Perinatal Education (CAPE) collaborate with Stanford faculty to provide CME workshops and simulations. The technology you experience includes high fidelity robotic mannequins and a variety of task trainers to improve your patients’ safety through practicing in an immersive and risk free environment.

Maintenance of Certification

The MOC structure assures that physicians are committed to lifelong learning and competency in a specialty or subspecialty. You will learn from our world renowned faculty who are pioneers in the field of simulation. Our MOC Part IV activities are patient-centered with an emphasis on professionalism, patient safety, and performance improvement.
