Research Protocols
Some operations require Principal Investigators (PIs) to submit online research applications or eProtocol for panel approval prior to commencing ANY active lab work or initiating procedures.
- IRB (Human Subjects)
An institutional Review Board oversees the protection of human participants in research. - SCRO (Stem Cell Research)
The IRB/SCRO Panel oversees the protection of human participants and ethical considerations for human stem cell research. - APLAC (Animal Subjects)
Oversees the responsible care and use of animals in research. - APB (Biosafety)
The Administrative Panel on Biosafety (APB) oversees research utilizing recombinant and synthetic nucleic acid molecules or infectious or biohazardous agents. - APRS (Radiological Safety)
The Administrative Panel on Radiological Safety oversees research utilizing radioactive Isotopes or Ionizing, ultraviolet laser, and/or microwave radiation.
