Seminars are designed to engage a wide range of learners, researchers, practitioners, other professionals, encore career seekers, and community members from across the globe. All ages 18 and above are welcome.

Participants can register for one or more seminars, based on their particular interests.

No, the two programs are different. 

The Stanford Health 4 All Fellows Program is a 9-month professional certficate program focused on the science of chronic disease prevention in diverse community settings. Between 2014-2016, three cohorts of fellows completed the H4A Fellows Program. More information about the H4A Fellows Program and its alumni can be found here.

The SPRC Education Team is creating a new H4A Fellows Program internship experience to be available in 2017. More information available at the H4A Fellows Program website.

No, unfortunately we do not offer CME credit for the H4A Seminar Series.  Participants will receive a Certificate of Attendance for each seminar they attend.

We are happy to provide visa sponsorship letters. Those requesting a Seminar Attendance Letter or other materials for visa purposes are responsible for ensuring they have sufficient time to apply for a U.S. visa. Participants are responsible for all U.S. visa arrangements and costs. Please contact TO Preising at preising@stanford.edu with your questions and/or to request a Seminar Attendance Letter.

Participants are responsible for their own lodging, food, travel arrangements, and expenses.

There are a number of local hotels that are nearby Stanford's campus.  Please see our Accommodations Page or the Stanford Visitor Website for more details. We strongly recommend you make reservations as soon as possible to receive the best possible rate.

Stanford Health 4 All's 2016 Seminar Series will be held at the Beckman Center and the Li Ka Shing Center, both located on the Stanford University School of Medicine campus.

We highly encourage participants to bike, walk, take mass transit, or take the Marguerite Shuttle to and from campus. The Marguerite Shuttle is Stanford's FREE public service shuttle which travels around campus and connects to nearby transit, shopping, dining, and entertainment.  Learn more about the Marguerite Shuttle here.  To avoid parking, some people may also find using a ride service like Uber or Lyft convenient.

If you are staying at the Stanford Guest House, there is a complimentary shuttle available for use. Please note that since the Stanford Guest House is located within the SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory, you will need a government issued ID to leave and enter the SLAC campus.

If you need to park on campus, fee-based parking spots are available at the Galvez parking lot. Discount parking at the Galvez parking lot is available for $8/day. The Galvez parking lot is about a 20 minute walk from the Beckman Center and the Li Ka Shing Center. Please note that Marguerite bus stops are not located at convenient locations nearby the Galvez parking lot. A walking map is available here (stop when you arrive at the Beckman Center). The Beckman Center is next door to the Li Ka Shing Center for those attending a Saturday seminar.

Stanford is about equidistant between the San Jose Airport and the San Francisco Airport. Public transportation can be used to get from each airport to the Stanford area.
