It is with great pleasure that we announce that the Stanford Digital Repository team, has placed the video file of the Stanford University Library event, "Poetry and Spoken Word: A Reading with the Editors and Authors of a New Independent Literary Journal, As/Us" into the Stanford Digital Repository. For those of you who could not attend the live performance on May 20th, 2013, the video recording of the Poetry and Spoken Word event is now available for your viewing pleasure.

This event showcased the work of several talented writers, of both emerging and established indigenous women and women of color from around the world. These women are featured in the new literary journal, As/Us. The list of speakers included: Tria Andrews; Jennifer Elise Forester; Justine Kao; Casandra Lopez; Julie Lythcott-Haims (and friends); Juanita Mantz; and Tanaya Winder. In addition, Cherríe Moraga was the guest discussant who provided analysis and feedback for the writers. Regina Roberts, librarian for Feminist Studies, organized and moderated the event.
