Configure Address Book to Sync to Stanford Address Book

The Address Book application is included with Mac OS X. The following instructions describe how to adjust the Address Book preferences so that the application can sync to the Stanford Email and Calendar address book.

Note: There is no access to the Zimbra Global Address List from the Address Book application. However, you can sync to your other Stanford Address Books.

1. Open Address Book from the dock.
2. In the Address Book menu, click Preferences.
3. On the toolbar, click Accounts and then click the plus sign (+) below the Accounts column.
4. Enter the following information in the Add Account window:
   
   • Account type: CardDAV
   • User name: your SUNet ID
   • Password: your SUNet ID password
   • Server address: https://your_sunetid.pobox.stanford.edu:443
   
5. Click Create.
6. An account named your_sunetid@your_sunetid.pobox.stanford.edu appears in the Accounts window. This corresponds to the address book available through Stanford Email and Calendar.
