Search for Stanford Contacts

The Zimbra service was retired on December 31, 2015.

You can look up contact information for anyone in the University from the Zimbra Email & Calendar web client. You can then use the email address to send a message, schedule a meeting,  or add it to your contacts.

Search StanfordWho for contact information

  1. In the Search box at the top of Zimbra Email & Calendar, select Global Address List from the list to the left of the search text and then type the name of the person whose listing you want to find.

  2. Click the person's name to see the complete Stanford view listing in StanfordWho.

Add the contact to your address book

  1. Right-click (CRTL+click on a Mac) the name of your Stanford contact.
  2. Click Add to Contacts.

  3. Make any desired changes to the new entry.
  4. Click Save.

Send an email message to the contact

  1. Hover over the email address in the listing and click the New Email icon. A new message is created with the person's name in the To: field.

  2. Type your message and usual and click Send.
    Note: If you need to search for contact information for more than one person for an email message, see Adding Names to Email from an Address Book.

Invite the contact to a meeting

  1. Hover over the email address in the listing and click the New Appointment icon.  A new appointment is created with the contact's name added to the attendees list.

  2. Enter the meeting details and then click Send.
